    Shannon DiPalmo originates from the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts and beholds her Masters in Social Enterprise Administration (MSW) with specializations in international studies and global health from Columbia University. She has always been passionate about the difference that community-based grassroots partnerships and project management can make in communities. Shannon has spent almost ten years focused on program development, research, and implementation pertaining to improving the lives of people at-risk for or impacted by HIV.  This includes presenting a nationally-recognized thesis in her undergraduate studies on best practice social interventions for HIV/AIDS orphans in South Africa to working with organizations, villages, and municipalities across 30 U.S. states and 15 countries pertaining to public health promotion and development. Shannon was introduced to CAN as a consultant for Ponaman Healthcare Consulting, whereby she worked for almost three years specifically pertaining to the 340B Program and eligible healthcare entities including Ryan White clients. At CAN, Shannon has worked within the realms of grant writing, development, and implementation for CAN’s new sites across the states. As the Vice President of West Coast Operations, Shannon will be managing CAN’s new fixed and mobile sites in the state of Arizona, specifically pertaining to HIV prevention and rapid start care. In her spare time, Shannon enjoys camping and hiking with her husband and two rescue dogs, as well as cheering on her favorite New England sports teams.
