    Jau Evans, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

From the day I started nursing school, I knew my end goal was to become a Nurse Practitioner. I did not only want to make a difference in my patients’ lives, but I also wanted to be more involved in their plan of care and reaching their goals. I also loved taking care of others and quickly realized becoming a Nurse Practitioner would allow me to do so.

I moved to Jacksonville Florida 19 years ago as a Licensed Practical Nurse. I obtained my BSN from Chamberlain University in 2014 and graduated from Chamberlain University with my Master of Nursing Practice as Family Nurse Practitioner in May 2017. My first RN position was held at Memorial Hospital HCA in the Medical Surgical and Gastroenterology unit. My passion for nursing and the drive to continue my education led me to move to Infectious Disease for as a lifelong goal of becoming a specialist in HIV and Hepatitis C.

While attending graduate school, I worked full-time in a position at Aid Healthcare Foundation in challenging clinical nurse case manager role. While in this position, I had pride in being a mentor and leader and was promoted to clinical nurse manager. Throughout graduate school, I found a passion for nursing that continued to drive me to provide the best possible care to my patients as I transitioned to the role of nurse practitioner. Specifically, in family-centered care as a family nurse practitioner. I am excited to grow and learn from the amazing physician and nurse practitioners within the organization as I embark on my new career.
