Dr. Robert Andrews is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
Originally from New York City, he completed his B.A. in 1972 at S.U.N.Y Binghamton-Harpur College, and then achieved his M.D. at S.U.N.Y. Upstate Medical Center in 1972-1976.
Both his medical internship and residency were at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed his fellowship soon after in Infectious Diseases at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and at the U.S. Public Health Services, EIS Hospitals Infectious Program, CDC, Atlanta.
In the beginning of January 1999, Dr. Andrews joined the Bach and Godofsky Infectious Diseases team here in Bradenton, Florida.
He has privileges at Blake Medical Center and his professional organizations include Infectious Diseases Society of America, Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America.
He has been married to his lovely wife Florence for over 42 years, and they have two children.
